The drone maker steps into the smart home
The DJI Romo S is DJI's first robot vacuum and mop — and it brings the company's drone navigation strengths straight in: a Hybrid Vision system of two fisheye cameras plus solid-state LiDAR for smart mapping and obstacle avoidance. Add 25,000Pa suction, heated-water mopping and an all-in-one dock that auto-empties, washes and dries the mops, and this is a true flagship robot from the very first generation.
What the Romo S does well
25,000Pa suction
Up to 25,000Pa suction with 20 L/s airflow — lifts fine dust, debris and hair on both hard floors and carpet, among the strongest available.
Drone-grade navigation
The Hybrid Vision system pairs two fisheye cameras with solid-state LiDAR — fast mapping and smart obstacle avoidance built on DJI's drone vision heritage.
Strong, heated mopping
Two spinning pads apply pressure and one extends to reach edges along walls and cabinets; water heats to 60°C for tougher stains.
Anti-tangle brushes
A dual rubber main brush resists hair wrap; two speed-adjusting side brushes gather debris without scattering it.
All-in-one dock
The dock auto-empties into a bag (up to 200 days), washes and dries the mops and refills water — nearly hands-free, managed in the ROMO app.
Quiet & long battery
A 3-stage noise-reduction system cuts up to 80% of extraction noise; battery lasts up to 3 hours (or ~2h vac+mop), enough for 100–130 m².

This is a first-gen product in a new category for DJI — software, features and long-term support need time to prove out; and it's not yet common in Vietnam (warranty, spare parts).
Big dock & flagship price
The all-in-one dock is fairly large and space-hungry and needs a spot by an outlet; the price sits in the premium tier, not a budget pick.
Running costs & privacy
Bags, mop pads and water are consumables that add up over time; and since it has navigation cameras, consider privacy when placing it in the home.
